Katharine Meynell
Working as an artist since the late 1970’s across material media, using moving image, performance, drawings and artists’ books (many collaborations with the Gefn Press). My interests concern the personal & the political, humour and the slippery line between document and fiction. I completed a PhD at the RCA on Time Based work in Britain 2000; I was Reader in Fine Art at Middlesex University, retiring 2011.Performances: with HUMP: 2B Butlers Wharf; the Oval House; Drill Hall with Aaron Williamson's Clippety Clop with GraceGraceGrace: Guest Projects; Riga Performance Festival; Live Art Development Agency; Skopje Museum of Contemporary Art; The Horse Hospital Solo: Franklin Furnace; Chisenhale Studios, Subjectivity and Feminisms’ Performance dinners, Performance Art Bergen, Nordisk Kunstnarsenter.
